Discover the Unknown Wandering of the Science World

 

There are a lot of things that was discussed and explained at the science fair such as about chemistry, astrology, biology & physics. In the 1st station, the dome, they talked about the astrology and how the sun goes around the earth. I found out about the meaning of AM and PM which means AM = Ante Meridiem (Before noon) and PM = Post Meridiem (After noon). I learned and observed while they were teaching is that the sun is before the meridian is considered as AM and if it hasn't past the meridian it is considered as PM. 

Another one I also learned about is the 88 constellations and the original 13 constellation zodiac family. The 13th hidden zodiac is called the Ophiuchus, science says that it was not included because it brings bad luck. If science considers, it would be in December.

In all the discoveries and explanations I've observed, I learned that there are a lot of ways we could solve and preserve in the nature of science. There are so many ways to easily solve in our lives by the use of science. Like in times of climate change, we should use more gadgets that doesn't affect the nature such as usage of sunlight and wind for electricity. Another one is throwing trashes on the proper place and the using of the 5r's; Reuse, Reduce, Recycle, Refuse and Rot. If the people would learn these ways and follow it, the climate change might have a chance of decreasing.

My experience of the science fair was really awesome, I've learned basic things that are easy and common to know yet what shocks me was the one's that I didn't know which mostly are astronomy. It was a very enjoyable moment for me especially I was experiencing it with my friends and my grade section. I must say the exhibit shared so many things that people should know about and can change the world we live in. As they say, "Science is the knowledge of life" I agree as every day and everything, we use science in the form of how we live. How we also learn the knowledge of doing better or doing worse in our surroundings and our lives.

Si Heart ay hindi lamang siya icon fashion o isang influencer, siya ay nakatulong din sa mga tao at din ay nagtataguyod ng mga organisasyon na nagtataguyod ng mga gawaing kawanggawa. Itinatag pa niya ang Heart Can isang foundation na naglalayong makatulong sa mga batang may respiratory diseases. 

Kaya naman hanga ako sa kanyang mga gawa at suporta tungo sa komunidad na hindi lang tao pati din mga hayop, na siyang nagbibigay inspirasyon sa akin na maging katulad niya. Hindi lang siya mayroon ng kagandahan pero may mabuting puso.

Reflection sa "Minsan sa Isang taon"

    Ang dokumentaryo ay nag-uusap tungkol sa isang lugar na malayo sa  lungsod, kung saan ginagawa ang abaca. Isa sa isang taon lang sila nagpo-produce which means isa sa isang taon din sila kumikita. Ang pag gawa nang abaca ay talagang hirap para sa kanila aside sa isang taon lang ito magawa, hirap din sa serbisyo sa pagawa, mag hihintay para magawa, mga diskarte para mabenta at maliit na kita. Kaya’t mahirap sila sa kanilang parte pero namumuhay parin sila nang mapayapa

Mula sa kanilang sitwasyon ay nabubuhay sila ng mahirap ngunit nagagawa pa rin nilang maging masaya sa kung anong meron sila. Kahit na kamote lang ang kanilang pagkain araw-araw kaya padin nila mamuhay ng ganyan. Kahit din higpit na ang kanilang produksyon na abaca dahil sa pag unti-unting ng mga puno sa kanilang probinsya. Pero patuloy pa rin silang nagsisikap para mabuhay kahit unti lang ang matangap nilang biyaya.

Nagulat ako at saludo ako sa kanilang pagsusumikap sa kabila ng hirap ng trabaho ay masaya pa rin sila sa mga natanggap nila kahit mas deserve nila yung anong dapat nilang deserve. Ang na tutunan ko sa dokumentasyon ay dapat ako maging masaya sa ano mang matanggap ko, maliit man ko malaki basta dapat ko talaga magsikap muna. Dapat ko din alagaan ang produksyon ko kapag meron man sa darating panahon, kasi kapag hindi baka palpak na at hindi na umunlad pa ang aking produksyon. Sa daming dami pang matutunan sa dokumentasyon, maging masipag, alam mag diskarte at maging masaya kung anong meron ay ika’y ma buhay nang hindi magulo.

FAMILY DAY

    A family day wherein it brings joy and unity to our family and friends. Exactly on April 23, 2023, Family Day at Asian College of Technology was held and it was very much a memorable day. This year's family day was totally different than the last couple of years I've experienced because I spent it with my family but this time with my friends. My friends are considered, the people that makes me happiest and people that I always unite with. 

       That day was very fun, it started when my team was dealing with last-minute practices and preparations. With all the last minute with our dance palabas we still end up as 2nd placers. After that was the eating, though I ended up getting my food late since I chose to have fun first before getting in line for the food but it was still worth it unfortunately I didn't get to eat with my mother since I was with my friends. Then was disco mostly the highlight of that day, the disco was very much the best experience ever. I get to have fun and release all the stress that was dealt. And lastly, it was so surprising and well-deserved award for my team to end up the champions of Intramurals 2023.

         

I'd do anything to go back to this moment, especially to the people that I spent that day with because I know I won't be able to spend with them anymore next school year. That day was indeed filled with fun and joy, something that I would cherish forever despite that day wasn't enough for me. Though I felt bad for spending most of my time with my friends instead with my mom either way whether it is my parents or my friends I'd still call them my family. Family Day 2023 is truly one of the best days I've had this school year and I wish I can just hit replay but can't, still, it was a day to cherish and remembered forever.

INTRAMURALS 2023

     Intramurals is an event that brings people from every aspect of life together to participate in various sporting activities. It is a place where people can show off their abilities, compete with others, and have fun. It is also critical to highlight the value of fair play, teamwork, and sportsmanship during the event so that everyone has a memorable experience that they will cherish.

     I participated in volleyball, basketball, badminton, table tennis and larong pinoy (labo-labo and bato lata), among other sports and activities. I won the majority of my games though I did lose a few, overall, I had a great time. I've played volleyball, basketball, and table tennis before; the other games were my first experiences. However, the play I participated in during this intramurals was the best. My favorite part/the highlight of playing intramurals was how my teammates and I worked together with full teamwork and communication. I was quite proud of and happy that we won since I didn't anticipate the effort that my teammates and I put out to do our absolute best during the sport we played. The dance palabas was also a thrilling moment for me and us, the gold team especially when we were short on time with the practice. We were able to manage to perform a good performance even though we had so many last-minute practices. 

      Intramurals 2023 is perhaps the best thing that I've experienced. During those times, I made plenty of friendships and memories that allowed me to live life to the fullest. I developed more sportsmanship throughout the games and so many more achievements that I've received. I would do anything to turn back to those times and will cherish them forever.

Ang pagtatapon ng basura ay isang seryosong problema na nakakaapekto sa kapaligiran, wildlife, at kalusugan ng tao. Ito ay tumutukoy sa gawaing pagtatapon ng basura sa mga pampublikong lugar sa halip na mga itinalagang lugar ng pagtatapon ng basurang mga nakakalat na bagay tulad ng mga plastic bag, upos ng sigarilyo, at balot ng pagkain ay tumatagal ng mAaraming taon upang mabulok at marumi ang ating lupa, daluyan ng tubig, at karagatan.

Kaya't basahin itong presentation nato para alam anong dapat gawin at i pasa sa ibang tao para aware sila sa mga nangyari ngayon.

Vintage, these things are old fashion stuff and an old collection that was collected in the past than can still be used nowadays or not.

Paintings and figurines

                 These are called an art and where everything of it always have its deep meaning. Some maybe isn’t that old but still its an enduring interest and can be collected.

Cameras

               Camera is where we could capture the moments by taking a photo or video. These are old cameras some still working some don't anymore. People still use and keep these kinds of camera to have the vintage aesthetic look on the camera and to the cameras that aren’t working mostly people keep them as a collection

Telephone

                  This is a telephone that was used in the 60s. This was used to call people since cellphones didn’t exist that time. They are more telephones that are is still used these days on hotels, office, etc. but these kind of telephones don't really exist anymore or this generation don't use.

Flat iron

             This is used to iron clothes back then by putting hot charcoal inside it. Though nowadays people use electric iron some people does still use this. 

Old coins and bills

                   These are some old coins and bills from the Philippines back in the 50s - 90s. Even though these kind of money cannot be used anymore people keep them as a collection and passing it to the next few generations. 

These stuff can still be used and some that cannot be used anymore can still be kept as a collection or selling them to collectors or displaying like in a museum.

The loving father

              It is about a father who came across a Putat. When his carabao bump in to the putat he met Atong, an engkanto who gave the father an offer to make up the damages the carabao made. He had a choice whether to give away his daughter to Atong or something bad will happen to him. The father ended up fighting Atong instead of giving his daughter, he showed how much he loves his daughter.

 
              In the story there are some local color such as putat can be considered as object, collective of verdant trees that surrounds a very pond-like body of water from Pinamungajan. Putat is an engkanto’s home which is believed that no human should tamper with. The next one can be identified as social customs. “Tabi! Tabi!”, it is a filipino expression that when passing through a spirit and by tabi tabi it means excuse me or may I pass. It can be identified as social customs and dialect. Engkanto are mythical spirits and associated with the spirits of ancestors in the Philippines. In additional an engkanto have the ability to appear in human form. Lastly we have mannerism where the father decided to fight off Atong instead of taking away his daughter, it’s clear that he is selfless and would make a sacrifice for his daughter. That side of the father is a good personality trait and is considered as mannerism in local color.

        
            We can see that at the end of the story, Mang Timo fought Atong instead of giving his daughter away. Seeing that situation, I believe anyone or perhaps someone would do that when they love someone. In my opinion, I would also do what Mang Timo did, just so that the person we love can live freely, and that we can sacrifice for the ones we love

                     Seven Sundays directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, ito ay isang pelikulang comedy-drama galing sa Philipinas. Itong pelikulang ito ay ipinalabas noong Oktubre 11, 2017. Ang kwento ay tungkol sa isang pamilya na hindi nagkakaisa at nag uugnayan kaya’t ang relasyon sa kanilang pamilya ay magulo.

 
                      Mula nang mamatay ang kanilang ina, lahat ng kanilang mga anak ay naghiwalay na ng landas. Isang araw nagpa-check up ang ama at na-diagnose na may lung cancer. Nang malaman ng mga anak ang nangyari, inaasahan na ang ama ay walang sapat na oras upang mabuhay at maaaring mamatay sa lalong madaling panahon. Isang bagay lang ang ipinahayag at hiniling ng ama bago siya umalis at iyon ay ang muling pagsasama-sama ng lahat sa pamilya. Sa sandaling nagtipun-tipon ang lahat sa isang lugar, naisip ng ama na lahat ay magccatch up at mag bond, ngunit sa kasamaang palad ang lahat ay nag-aalala at nag-aaway sa sitwasyon ng lung cancer. Araw-araw simula nang magkabalikan ang pamilya, patuloy silang nagkakaroon ng hindi pagkakaunawaan at maling komunikasyon pero mostly tumatambay pa rin parang mga bata. Lumipas ang mga araw, nakatanggap ang ama ng tawag sa telepono mula sa doktor na nagsasabi ng maling impormasyon tungkol sa lung cancer at wala talagang masamang karamdaman ang ama. Hindi sinabi ng ama sa kanyang mga anak ang sitwasyon dahil alam niyang aalis na naman ang lahat kapag nalaman nila. Too bad nalaman din naman dahil nun mas lumala ang away, hindi pagkakaunawaan at miscommunications ngunit lahat ay nagkakaisa at naguugnayan sa huli.

 

                    Seeing their situation and story, its very complicated and frustrating. Sa tingin ko ito ay dahil mayroon silang kakulangan ng komunikasyon at selos kaya't patuloy silang nagkakaroon ng hindi pagkakaunawaan. Natutunan ko na kailangan nating laging makipag-usap sa ating mga mahal sa buhay o sa ibang tao para maiwasan ang hindi pagkakaunawaan at away. 

                     Inirerekomenda ko talaga to sa mga tao at pamilya na panoorin ang pelikulang ito dahil ito ay isang magandang pelikula na panoorin lalo na ito ay isang napakagandang kuwento. Ang panonood nito ay maaaring matuto ng isang bagay o dalawa at ang mga manonood ay maaaring magkaroon ng mindset na palaging makipag-usap sa pamilya.

 Life in the midst of a pandemic

Coronavirus, as was detected in late 2019 originated in Wuhan, China. At first, it was considered an isolated case since it only hit a certain city in China. But as weeks went by, the virus spread vigorously to entire China, then throughout the world. First-quarter of 2020 COVID-19 first case in the Philippines was detected in Manila. People including myself didn’t take the news seriously. But hearing the news on TV and the government was doing contact tracing and found symptoms of this virus among the contacts, I already find it alarming.

Scientists worldwide never stopped inventing cures and vaccines to stop the spread of the virus and thus to protect the people. True enough, months later vaccines were made for us. Covid vaccines were made accessible to each of us, to different age groups. And true enough, these vaccines really do save lives.

I could remember right after my 5th-grade 4th quarterly exam, the government raised the alert level for the entire country. Isolating everyone and letting all of us stay inside our houses to avoid contact with people during those times, we couldn’t really know for sure if a person is a virus carrier. Malls were closed, schools were empty, people put on some face masks and face shields, and streets that used to be busy and noisy were already empty and silent.

For me those days were one of the hardest, knowing all my friends and some special people won’t see each other often or possibly the thought of never seeing each other anymore. Those were the days when I felt alone but nice, being away from friends for a while, no contact with any friends didn’t really matter in the situation called “left out from friends”. Even though being in that kind of situation and my decision didn’t bother me during those days, it did bother me how the future should look like considering what is happening now in the present. The idea of growing apart from each other was a bit unforeseen. That, we weren’t ready for that. Although through those two years we created new friendships and relationships that keep us going in our lives with this new life we sort of decided in order to adapt.

Today, living in a better and new normal, and living with all the situations happening made us realize how precious our life is. How we are surviving every day -- one by one each day, how important are our family, friends, and all the people we care for and love. And how thankful through ups and downs we are here today still fighting.

Gusto ko sa buhay (Journal)

  

Mayroong higit sa isang pangarap na trabaho na gusto kong gawin at iyon ay isang real estate agent at isang musikero. Pareho silang mahal ko and it is quite random how those two came into my life. Ang pangarap na trabaho ay dapat na isang bagay na masaya ka sa proseso ng pagtatrabaho hindi kung ano ang makukuha mo sa huli. Ang pag-mahal sa iyong ginagawa ay higit na mas mahusay kaysa sa pagiging matagumpay mula sa iyong ginagawa, kaya't ang pag-iisip ng iyong pangarap na trabaho ay nangangailangan ng oras at iyon ang dahilan kung bakit ang dalawang ito ang mga bagay na gusto ko.

 

Ang Real estate agent ay isang bagay na hindi ko inaasahan na pipiliin kong gusto bilang aking pangarap na trabaho. Well, I have a thing for houses, I just love them. Gusto kong isipin ang mga bahay mula sa iba't ibang kultura, mula sa mga istilo, mula sa iba't ibang mga inspirasyon. Dahil hindi ko makukuha ang lahat ng mga bahay na naisip ko ma ibebenta ko na lang at mamahalin ko lang sila sa sandaling ito. Hindi pa rin ako sigurado kung magiging ahente ako o broker o realtor ngunit isa na ako sa kanila sa hinaharap.

 

Ang isang musikero ay medyo random sa aking buhay ngunit mahilig ako sa musika. Mula sa pagkakaroon ng kaalaman sa pagtugtog ng gitara, pagkanta, pag-compose at pagpo-produce ay masasabi kong gustung-gusto kong maging isa. Habang ibinabahagi ang aking musika, gusto ko ring ibahagi ang aking buhay na mas malamang na idokumento ang aking ginagawa. Gusto kong makitang masaya at inspired ang mga tao sa ginagawa ko, iyon ang isa sa maraming dahilan kung bakit gusto kong maging musikero.

 

Alam kong medyo nagdadalawang isip ang dalawa at isang bagay na gusto ko paglaki ko. Some people said na isa lang ang mapipili mo para maging successful pero feeling ko kaya ko pang pamahalaan ang dalawa ng maayos. Ang pangarap ko ay maaaring dalawa o maaaring higit pa ngunit sigurado ako sa aking sarili na magiging matagumpay ako sa magkabilang dulo. Siguro ang magmahal ng higit sa 1 bagay ay hindi masama, ito ay magbibigay sa iyo ng mga pagpipilian at isang plano b kung ang iba ay nabigo

MY BROTHER'S PECULIAR CHICKEN ESSAY

 

Cockfighting has always been a part of us, Filipinos even from the old times. It used to be the Filipino’s favorite pastime. The thrill, the excitement that they encounter during the fight makes the whole scene very engaging. Nowadays, it became a business and gambling. The government earned much on the taxes during derbies. Even up to now, still in the pandemic period, these organizations looked for some ways to continue what Filipino love most, cockfights. Since due to government restrictions, wherein arenas are still not allowed to open their doors to betters and spectators, they made it accessible online. The government also made sure to bring back this kind of business since they earn a huge amount of taxes from this. It just proves that we, Filipinos still are very inclined to this activity no matter what generation we belong to. It has always been a Filipino tradition that instills in us.

 

The best example that suits gambling and entertainment is the Filipino’s favorite pastime which is cockfighting. Every man and some women are entertained when they witness a cockfight. In fiestas, cockfighting draws a lot of spectators and bettors. This kind of gambling makes these people entertained for it gives them a thrill during the fight itself.

 

     People in this kind of business became known especially if you are a big-time bettor. Many would look up to you and give you the utmost respect and most especially treat you like a VIP. These big-time bettors also do bet on high breed and quality cocks.

 

     Like cockfighting, another very Filipino tradition or value that we still practice nowadays is our mealtime with our family.  It is considered family bonding. It is even encouraged to at least get together with your family during mealtime. By doing so, a family starts their meal with a prayer, thanking God for the food they have on their tables and for all the graces received. During mealtime, a family enjoys the conversation among them and at the same time enjoys their sumptuous food.

 

      These practices were long been a Filipino tradition. It just truly shows how we; Filipinos are so passionate about the things we love to do and how we also value our family. Whatever challenges that we encounter, we always rise on these trials and strongly face them as one family.

JOURNAL KARANASANG HINDI MALILIMUTAN (11/24/21)

 Nagkaroon kami ng aming pagbabahagi ng ilang araw na ang nakalipas at ito ang isa sa mga unang pinakamagandang karanasan na naranasan ko mula noong ako ay nagsimula sa high school. Kaming 3 lang na babae ang nagkukwento ng mga best and worst moments namin noon, part of us were very relieved after sharing the things we talk about. Bagama't pinag-uusapan din natin kung ano ang nararamdaman namin sa mga bagay na nararanasan namin ngayon.

 

Isa sa amin ang nagbahagi tungkol sa kanyang karanasan sa pagpunta sa ibang bansa gaya ng Denmark, Norway, at marami pa. Masaya siyang ibinahagi ang kanyang pinakamagagandang sandali sa buhay at ang paraan ng pagpapaliwanag niya ay parang ipinagmamalaki niyang gawin iyon. At yung isa pa sa amin ay ibinahagi niya na she had the best moments back face to face school days especially some fun events. Bilang isang taong katabi niya noong mga araw na iyon, hindi ko alam kung gaano siya kasaya noong mga araw na iyon. But when she explained it gives chills because the person, I didn’t know na masaya pala siya ay yung naisip kong hindi siya masaya noon. Ipinaliwanag din niya ang mga araw na sinabihan siya ng mga guro na magbasa nang malakas at nagbibigay ito sa kanya ng anxiety. Nakaramdam siya ng hiya at takot tungkol dito, ngunit nagawa niyang iwasan ang mga takot na ibinibigay nito sa kanya.

 

I learned that part of us have to be proud of what we have and had even if it is good or bad. We have to be happy through the experiences we had. There are people out there that experience things far worse than ours and it's really awesome if we listen to them when they needed to or perhaps help them. Ang pakikinig o pagbabahagi sa iba tungkol sa life experience ay talagang nakakatulong, lalo na ang pagkakaroon ng pakiramdam ng ginhawa pagkatapos magbahagi o makinig sa mga life experiences. Kailangan din nating dumaan sa ating takot at ipakita sa mga tao na kailangan nating maging matapang.

KARANASANG HINDI KO MAKAKALIMUTAN

 

Karanasang hindi ko makakalimutan

Kailanman ay hindi masama kapag tayo ay naiinis o nagagalit sa isang tao dahil tao lamang din tayo na may emotion.

 

Tulad na lamang ng aking karanasan sa aking pinsan na siyam na gulang na batang lalake. Dahil sa kakulitan nito at palaging pasaway ay walang araw na naiinis at minsan ay inaaway ko. Kahit sa maliit na bagay ay ikakagalit ko talaga.

Nakokonsensya ako tuwing ginagawa ko ito sa kanya. Hindi tama na palagi nalang akong galit sa kanya dahil alam kong mas nakakabata siya kay sa akin. At bilang nakakatanda ay dapat unawin ko nalang na parte lang iyong ng pagiging bata niya.

Ngayon ay pinapangaralan at sinasebilan ko nalang sakali mali ang kanyang ginagawa. Dahil minsan naging bata din tayo at naranasan ang mga it.

Ang Mindanao ay ang perpektong destinasyon kung gusto mo maranasan ang ganda ng yamang-lupa at yamang-tubig ng Pilipinas. 

 

Ang kilalang Maria Cristina Falls na tinaguriang pangalawang pinakamataas na water falls ay matatagpuan sa Iligan City.

Dinarayo na rin lalong lalo na sa mga kabataan ang Cagayan de Oro ang napakasikat na water rafting.

 

Ilan lang ito sa mga lugar sa Mindanao ang tiyak na mamamangha ka sa kagandahan at gusto mong balik balikan.
